A virtual zephyr that drifts dreamily from the speakers, Antikue’s latest outing, ‘Windhook’, finds Absent Music’s chief truant in typically meditative form. Conjuring an idiosyncratic otherworldliness, Windhook’s billowing pads and incessant shakers lay the foundation for a gently ascending riff that draws you into a reverberating topography that feels as playful as it is reflective.

Flipside ‘Into Jomsom’ conversely surrounds you with a spiralling bell motif, ghostly strings and resonant bass before a skittering chime brings the whole affair to a descending close. Stretching hypnagogic musings into distinctly personal shapes, Antikue’s auditory escapism continues apace…
